Tell Congress: Reverse Hobby Lobby, Restore Birth Control Coverage

It only took five Supreme Court justices to give employers the power to interfere with women's health care decisions — and it took just days for thousands of Floridians to stand up united in dissent. Now, it's going to take all of us working together to undo the damage. A new bill would take decisions about birth control coverage away from employers, and put them back where they belong: with women and their doctors.

The Protect Women's Health from Corporate Interference Act (aka the "Not My Boss' Business Bill") would restore coverage for birth control and stop employers from forcing their beliefs on employees.

Sign the petition below and tell every lawmaker to go on the record: Do you side with bosses, or do you support putting birth control coverage back in the hands of women who need it?

Petition To Congress

Birth control is a critical health care service for women. And affordability has long been a barrier to women being able to use birth control - and other preventive health services - effectively.

The contraceptive coverage provision of the Affordable Care Act has been a huge success in increasing access to this critical women's health service.

Plain and simple, bosses should not be able to interfere in their employees' birth control and other health care decisions. Please support the Protect Women's Health from Corporate Interference Act today.

    Subject: Not my bosses' business
    Friends,

After last week's disastrous Supreme Court decision allowing employers to deny women coverage for birth control, thousands of Floridians raised their voices in dissent.

And it didn't take long for our voices to make a difference. The newly introduced Protect Women's Health from Corporate Interference Act (aka the "Not My Bosses' Business" Bill) would take decisions about birth control coverage away from employers, and put them back where they belong: with women and their doctors. Sign the petition in support of this legislation and ask your lawmakers: Do they stand with bosses, or with women's health and rights?

Plain and simple, bosses shouldn't be allowed to force their personal beliefs on employees. It only took five Supreme Court justices to give employers the power to interfere with women's health care decisions — now, it's going to take all of us working together to undo the damage. Americans support the birth control benefit by nearly two to one. Let's make sure Congress knows we are watching.

It's time for every member of Congress to pick a side: Tell them to side with women, not bosses.

Thanks for standing up for the right of every woman to make her own private medical decisions without interference from anyone — not her boss, not politicians, not the Supreme Court.
