LGBTQ youth in Florida are under attack. The ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill (House Bill 1557/ Senate Bill 1834) is a cruel and dangerous bill that blocks teachers from talking with their students about gender identity and sexual orientation and stigmatizes the existence of LGBTQ students in school.
This bill would make teachers fear providing a safe and inclusive classroom. The existence of LGBTQ youth and parents is not a topic that needs to be censored by Floirda’s Republican legislators. This dehumanizing bill will push LGBTQ youth back into the closet and put some of our most vulnerable youth at risk.
Send the below letter to your state senator urging them to oppose any efforts to pass the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.
