The Affordable Insulin Care Act is currently stalled in the U.S. Senate. This important bill could cap insulin at $35 dollars and save the lives of people who are insulin dependent. A box of insulin costs anywhere from $400 to $500 a month. Many people grapple with having to ration their insulin in order to pay for their rent or put food on the table.
This medication is not saving lives if people have to ration it to ensure they can keep a roof over their head or food on the table. Every Floridian should be able to afford insulin to live without having to pay hundreds of dollars for it each month.
Send the below letter to your U.S. senators urging them to vote yes on the Affordable Insulin Care Act.
