Subject: Governor of California takes Gov. Scott to school
Friends,
Gov. Scott’s latest lame PR stunt - going to California this week to try and poach jobs - is flaming out in an embarrassing way. On Monday, California Gov. Jerry Brown wrote a letter to Gov. Scott mocking his effort to denigrate California’s economy, and more importantly, calling out Scott for ignoring something that will have a disastrous impact on Florida’s economy if left unchecked: climate change.
Read Brown's letter and thank him for doing more to call attention to climate change impacts on Florida with one letter than Gov. Scott has achieved in his five years in office.

While Gov. Scott wastes time trying to score a few cheap political points with job poaching trips to states working to grow their economy, Florida’s overall economy remains subpar. The jobs that have been created in the last few years have been mostly low wage positions that will do little to lift up hardworking families. Meanwhile, significant subsidies and tax breaks flow to big corporate interests unabated while education, healthcare, the environment, and infrastructure remain woefully underfunded.
The fact that Florida’s climate-denier-in-chief Rick Scott hasn’t done anything meaningful to address climate change (quite the opposite actually) is appalling considering its impact on our economy and quality of life.
Join me and thank Gov. Brown for calling out Gov. Scott’s PR stunt and focusing attention on things actually affecting Florida’s economy like climate change.

Gov. Scott does not speak for all Floridians when he pulls these cheap stunts. Take action and then be sure to forward this letter to your Florida friends and family.
