Tampa Bay Abortion Fund Executive Director Application

About Tampa Bay Abortion Fund:

TBAFund Inc (dba Tampa Bay Abortion Fund) removes financial and logistical barriers to abortion access. We specifically assist pregnant people seeking abortion at providers in several counties in and surrounding the Greater Tampa Bay Area. We also partner with numerous out-of-state clinics for Floridians forced to travel outside of Florida for safe, legal abortion care due to unnecessary state restrictions on abortion care.

TBAFund Inc is committed to continuing to support abortion-seekers with accessing safe and legal abortion care, regardless of the unnecessary gestational limits and barriers that legislators put in place.

About the Position:

This position is remote, but candidates must be based in TBAFund’s service area (Hillsborough/Pinellas Counties, Florida). This opportunity is a salary position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week during normal business operations (with some flexibility on the specific hours) and may include some evenings/weekends.

The first priority of TBAFund Inc is abortion-seekers, and the Board of Directors is seeking to hire TBAFund Inc’s second full-time employee and first executive director to ensure that the mission of assisting abortion-seekers is fulfilled. TBAFund is seeking a values-aligned and strategic Executive Director (ED) to lead our efforts in expanding abortion access for Floridians. The Executive Director (ED) will set and direct an organizational strategy for TBAFund, in collaboration with the board and fellow staff members, and oversee implementation of the plan through effective programming, fundraising, and financial management to ensure current and future mission-aligned impact. With a commitment to TBAFund’s mission, the ED will embrace the importance of values- alignment and an intersectional framework throughout the organization’s programs and department.

This position will report to the TBAFund Board of Directors. This position is expected to attend monthly Board meetings and provide input and monthly reports to Board Members (these meetings may fall outside normal business hours, as Board Members are all volunteer). Current and future staff will report directly to the ED. Currently, the only staff person who would report to the ED is the Director of Case Management.

This position is grant-funded, with funding secured through 2029. You will provide your own equipment (computer, phone) to complete required tasks. TBAFund will provide security measures including: VPN access, a DeleteMe subscription, a wifi hotspot, and a TBAF email account. As a new employer, TBAFund will be looking to add additional benefits soon.

The salary range is $90,000–$100,000. TBAFund also offers a healthcare stipend.
